PLEHIN PUT bb

PLEHIN PUT bb

Plehin put bb is the address of my grandparent’s house where I spent most of my childhood. Inspired by sadness and nostalgia for something that no longer exists, I’m trying to catch lost parts, combine the units and bring memories back. I’m trying to point at the ephemerality and transformation.
The work with memory cards represents recollection of those objects used everday and those that were once used in the house, the objects that we are emotionally bound with.
On the majority of memory cards decorations taken from the tiles symbolize the space that existed before the transformation.
The net going along all the interior makes allusions on the stereotype net used when making tapestries. All those rooms, which were once real, become places out of space (from fantasy or from memory) just as the motives from grandmother’s tapestries.
Empty frames recall all other rooms which I don’t have documentation for but which existed. They indicate the existance of the rests, of many other parts.

USED MATERIALS: black and white photocopy, transparency in many layers, acrylic varnishes based on water.
